Research

My research focuses on developing and applying new technologies to study the host–microbiome interface at the microscale. The human body harbors trillions of microorganisms that interact with the host and shape health and disease. By creating precision spatial measurements, I aim to uncover fundamental principles of microbial community organization, mechanisms of host–microbe interaction, and microbial contributions to diseases such as cancer.
