August ,2014: KIC members Darrell Schlom, David Muller, Kyle Shen and Lena Kourkoutis use high-energy electron diffraction, x-ray spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and quantum mechanical calculations to confirm that an extra layer of strontium oxide is needed in order to grow a perfect Ruddlesden-Popper film.
