Research

My research focuses on understanding and controlling material transformations at solid–liquid interfaces, which govern critical processes in the natural world and in technologies ranging from biomineralization to electrochemical energy devices. At Cornell, I will work at the intersection of operando force microscopy, soft matter physics, and electrocatalysis to develop adaptive, self-regulating catalytic interfaces in the labs of Profs. Lara A. Estroff and Jin Suntivich.
