My research focuses broadly on understanding novel electronic/magnetic materials. During my Ph.D. I focused on the growth and characterization of a variety of kagome materials (including charge density wave materials and ferrimagnets) as well as several altermagnet candidates. At Cornell I will expand my experimental toolbag by working in Prof. Brad Ramshaw's lab. Here I will use traditional ultrasound techniques to continue to explore bulk altermagnets and also aim to extend these techniques to measure 2D materials.
